Size and Appearance: The Margay can grow from 18-31in and can weigh from 5.5-8.75lb. It resembles the Ocelot especially its tail: orange with black rings. The Margay is smaller than an Ocelot but its tail is longer. It has dark rosettes on a yellowish coat. The Margay is the only cat whose hindfeet can rotate 180° allowing it to climb easily.

Diet: The Margay does not hunt any large animals and are not very ferocious. Its diet consists of rats, spiders, squirrels, young sloths, birds, and grubs.

Distribution: Margays can be found in Southern North America, Central America, and South America.

Social System: Unknown.

Habitat: Margays are found in all types of forest and are sometimes even spotted resting in the shade of coffee and cocoa trees.
